“All the Wild Wonders”

A week after the CBCA conference and my mind is still buzzing!  Three speakers made strong impressions – Wendy Cooling, Shaun Tan and Neil Gaiman.  Wendy was inspirational and showed how one person really could make a difference by bringing books and literature into the lives of individuals.  Shaun and Neil both managed to convey such passion for their work.  One of the highlights of the conference was listening to Neil read some of his poems.  How mesmerising!  What a captive audience.  I have been trying to track down audio versions of him reading his poems.

Other sessions were interesting and provided food for thought and ideas for literature promotion.  More later…maybe!
